Deborah Bourdeau, 63, of Twining, Mich. passed away Nov. 8, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center.
Deborah was born Sept. 28, 1948 in Saginaw, Mich. to Harold and Betty (Treanor) Meschke.
She married John Bourdeau and although the couple never had children of their own, they were more than willing to extend their sense of family and love to many, many children who they considered their “adopted” family.
When Deb wasn’t doting on the kids or nieces and nephews, she was feeding the birds, crocheting and crafting. She also loved animals and was employed as a secretary at a veterinarian’s office.
Deb is survived by her loving husband, John; mother, Betty; sister, Julie Meschke; brother, Barry Meschke; nieces, Ashley Meschke and Gwen Myers-Beck; nephew, Daniel Meschke; two great-nieces; and two great-nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Harold and nephew, U.S. Naval Air Force Lt. Michael Meschke.
Visitation for Mrs. Bourdeau will be held from 2-8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011 at C.L. Forshee & Sons Funeral Homes, Inc., Au Gres Chapel and from 10 a.m.-11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 11 at St. John Lutheran Church, 206 N. Court St. Au Gres. A Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Friday at the church with Pastor Frederick T. Cordts officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Omer, Mich.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. John Lutheran Church, Au Gres.
