Martha L. Rumsey of Flint, formerly of Oscoda, age 67, died Saturday, November 26, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Rossell Funeral Home. Rev. Kenneth Sharp will officiate. Cremation will follow the services. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Martha was born in Clarkston, Missouri on October 1, 1944, the daughter of Archie and Rita (Holder) Boone. She married John Bruce Rumsey in Oscoda in 1964. He preceded her in death in 2005.

Martha is survived by: two sons, David Boone and Ken and wife Bobbie Rumsey, and grandchildren, Cody and Arielle Rumsey and Jason Rumsey, all of Flint; five siblings, Harold Boone of Flint, Tom and wife Pat Boone of Missouri, Alfred and wife Peggie Boone of North Carolina, J.H. and Mary Boone of Flint, Frances “Carol” Hunt of Mt. Morris; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandson, Brody Lee Rumsey.
