Margaret Harriett Wegner-Weiler, of Tawas City, formerly of Saginaw, passed away on Wednesday December 14, 2011 in Tawas City, age 90 years. Margaret was born on Movember 12, 1921 in Saginaw to Walter and Robina Keene. She was baptized on December 25, 1922. Margaret Ernest Wegner on June 2, 1973, and they moved to Tawas. Among her many interests in life, her true passion was quilting. She worked at the St. Luke’s Hospital in Saginaw as a nurses aide before moving to Tawas with her husband. Margaret is now survived by her children, Robert (Bonnie) Weiler of Onaway, Harriet Thomas of Saginaw, Lyle Weiler of Saginaw, Paul Weiler of Saginaw, Paula Weiler of Lansing, Allen (Sharon) Weiler of Brandt, and Laurell (Bruce) Romeo of Tawas; 18 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; 4 siblings, Charles Keene of Bay City, Dorothy Remer, Harold Keene, and Mary lou Stephens, all of Saginaw; several nieces and nephews; and 1 brother-in-law, Hugo (Lois) Wegner of Tawas City. Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest O. Wegner in 2003, 2 brothers, Lester Keene who was killed in action in World War II and Walter "Maxwell" Keene, her daughter, Genevieve Weiler, and a granddaughter, Karen Weiler. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday December 20, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church in Tawas City with Reverend Steven Mahlburg officiating. Her family will welcome friends at the church on Tuesday from 12:00 PM until the time of her funeral service. Her family will also welcome friends at the funeral home on Monday for visitation from 2:00 to 8:00 PM.
