Passed away peacefully, in the company of his loving family, together forever with his wife.  Jim passed away on December 22, 2011 at Covenant Cooper at age 78 years.  He was married to Leona Ruth LaFrance on September 8, 1956.  She predeceased him on May 4, 2000.  He is survived by 5 daughters and 3 sons:  Sharlene Schuler, James M. Schuler, Dennis M. Schuler, Theresa Schuler, Linda and Don McMall, Anthony Schuler, Patricia and William Bull and Diana Schuler.  He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren, a great granddaughter, 3 brothers and a sister.  He was predeceased by one brother, one sister and grandson Brian Scott Schuler.  Funeral service will take place at the McIntyre Funeral Chapel, 500 N. Michigan on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011 at 11am.  Visitation will be held on  Monday, Dec. 26, 2011 from 4-8pm and on Tuesday from 10am until service.  Chaplain Bruce Kalish will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  Memorials can be considered to the Association of Retarded Citizens or to the charity of donor's choice.
