Survived By: Surviving are nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. He was also preceded by four brothers, John, Fritz, Joe, and Frank; a sister, Sally Shaskus; and a sister-in-law, Marjorie Rogers.

Rogers, Anthony of St. Charles, Michigan, passed away Friday, December 23, 2011 at his great niece’s home in Saginaw. Age 100 years. Tony was born February 14, 1911 in Fisherville to Martin and Anna Rogers. He married Ann Shinsky on July 15, 1940. She preceded him on December 30, 1985. Tony was a very independent, caring person who loved watching baseball. He enjoyed bowling three times a week until this past spring and working in his garden and flowers. He commented that he had the “best garden in St. Charles.” Tony retired from GM in the early 1970’s and farmed the family property.

 

Surviving are nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. He was also preceded by four brothers, John, Fritz, Joe, and Frank; a sister, Sally Shaskus; and a sister-in-law, Marjorie Rogers.

 

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the Kendall Funeral Home, St. Charles with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday, December 26th from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
