Charles F. Shillenn, 81, of Gladwin, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2011. He was born on December 31, 1929 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Robert & Delena Shillenn. He married Leona McDonald on February 14, 1980 in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Charles was employed with Ford Motor Company as a machine repairman, retiring after 39 years of service and also worked for Michigan Bell Telephone out of Royal Oak as an installer. He had lived in Gladwin County since 1990, previously residing in Rochester Hills. He is survived by his wife: Leona Shillen of Gladwin; sons: James (Debbie) Shillenn of Rochester Hills; Charles Shillenn of Grand Blanc; daughter: Susan (Gary) Exelby of Rochester Hills; son: Joseph (Rhonda) Murdoch of Sterling Heights; daughter: Sherene Murdoch of Sterling Heights; son: Steven Murdoch of Flint; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Brad Withrow on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, 12:00 noon at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 26, 2011 from 12-9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
