Passed away suddenly Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at his home, age 77 years.  Bill was born January 9, 1934.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Korean war.  Bill married Sandra Sparks, his loving wife of 50 years, on April 29, 1961.  She survives him.  He was retired from the Voorheis /Zeilinger Trucking Company.  Bill was a member of the American Legion, Post 150, and St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and also fishing and hunting. 

Surviving besides his wife Sandra are their children; Sheryl (Brian) Bills and Kris (Julie) Kern, all of Frankenmuth, grandchildren; Brandon (Kristy) Bills, Bradley Bills, Andrea(Mike) Hoig, Taylor Kern, Maia Kern, Zoie Kern, and Xander Kern, brothers; Harvey Kern of Frankenmuth, Eugene Kern of Frankenmuth and Ernie (Chris) Kern of W. Columbia, TX, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Lois Roeglin, Janice (Carl) Hoppe, Jacqueline Brechtelsbauer, Carol (Alan) Reinbold, Marlene (Dalton) Kaul, Chris (Robert) Haske and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 10:15 a.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. and at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.  Rev. Mark Brandt will officiate with burial between services in St. Lorenz Cemetery.  Bills’ family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Association for Glycogen Storage Disease, St. Lorenz Media Ministry, American Legion, Post 150 Scholarship.  Please sign our guest book or share an online condolence with the family at www.cederbergfh.com
