She was preceded by her eleven brothers and sisters and spouses, Ernest (Wilma) Kennicott, Iva (Lloyd) Nethaway, Cecil (Ruth) Kennicott, Fay (Vera) Kennicott, Minnie (Stanley) Sanderson, J.L. (Dottie) Kennicott, Wayne (Velma) Kennicott, Bill Kennicott, Neva (Arthur) Street and two infant siblings
Affiliations: Mabel was a member of Brant United Methodist Church.

Kennicott, Mabel of St. Charles passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Union Court Assisted Living, St. Charles. Age 97 years. Mabel was born July 17, 1914 in St. Charles to Asa and Rhoda (Souden) Kennicott. She was the last surviving of twelve children. Mabel graduated from St. Charles High School in 1932. She was a member of Brant United Methodist Church. Mabel was a medical staff librarian at Owosso Memorial Hospital retiring in 1979. Among her many activities she enjoyed bowling, traveling and growing African violets. Mabel really enjoyed her time with special friend Ed Federspiel including making maple syrup.

 

Surviving are a sister-in-law, Betty Kennicott and fifteen nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her eleven brothers and sisters and spouses, Ernest (Wilma) Kennicott, Iva (Lloyd) Nethaway, Cecil (Ruth) Kennicott, Fay (Vera) Kennicott, Minnie (Stanley) Sanderson, J.L. (Dottie) Kennicott, Wayne (Velma) Kennicott, Bill Kennicott, Neva (Arthur) Street and two infant siblings.

 

Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2012 at Kendall Funeral Home, St. Charles. Rev. Ernesto Mariona will officiate with burial of ashes in Brant Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday. Memorials may be made to St. Charles Public Library or donor’s choice. www.kendallfuneralhome.net
