Passed away Wednesday evening, January 18, 2012 at age 90
years.  Almehda VanAuken was born on February 14, 1921 in Gaines, Michigan. 
She was married to Laverne Bedell on May 18, 1940.  He predeceased her on Dec. 15, 2005. She was a past member of St. Andrew Catholic Church.  Surviving is her son James
(Margaret) Bedell, daughter Yvette (Richard) Honeman, eleven
grandchildren:  James (Karen )Bedell, Scott Bedell, Julie Bedell, Jack (Cheryl) Bedell, Mark (Wendy) Bedell, Matthew (Natalie) Bedell, Lori (Robert) Webb, Linda (Greg) Vanherweg, Greg (Joan)
Honeman, Lisa (Ritchie) Smith,  and Chris (Laura) Honeman.  Also 22 great
grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and several nephews and a
nice.  She was predeceased by her husband, her sisters; Carrie Woodruff, Doris Keller, Beatrice Silliman, her parents Howard and Emma (Sargent) VanAuken and a great granddaughter in law
Becky Bedell.  Funeral service will take place at the McIntyre Funeral Chapel, 500 N. Michigan on Saturday, January 28,2012 at 11am with visiting from 10am until service.  Sr. Elaine Raymond will officiate.  Cremation has taken place.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
