Survived By: Surviving besides her husband Raymond are two sons and three daughters, David and Tammy Morse, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Linda Elliott, Gladwin; Rebecca and George Haney, Sanford; Kenneth and Pam Morse; Bay City; Marie Payne and her special friend Gene Young, Midland; six grandchildren, David, Rick, Matt, Andy, Jule and Ray; three great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Raven and Selena; two sisters and brother-in-law, Charlotte Konopko and Helen and George Lewis; many nieces and nephews. Nina was predeceased by three brothers and seven sisters.

Loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012 at St. Mary’s of Michigan Hospital. Age 85 years. The daughter of the late Floyd and Alta (Schrage) Griffor, Nina was born March 30, 1926 in Zilwaukee, Michigan. She was married to Raymond Morse, her loving husband of 66 years, on December 8, 1945. He survives her. Nina was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sanford. In Nina’s younger years she was an elevator operator for Second National Bank. She was also the office manager and co-owner of Morse Excavating. Nina and Raymond were the former owners of the Zilwaukee Dairy Bar. She enjoyed floral arranging and spending time with her family.

Nina was predeceased by three brothers and seven sisters.

 The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital CCU, Pastor Paul Young and St. Paul Lutheran Church for all the love and caring support that was given to Nina. They would also like to thank Aunt Helen for her special guidance.

 Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 24 , 2012 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., Saginaw. Pastor Paul Young will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
