Hasse, Arnold Aaron
St. Charles, Michigan
Passed away Friday, January 20, 2012 at Cartwright Care Center, age 94 years.
Arnold was born in Saginaw, Michigan January 2, 1918 the son of the late Aaron and Minnie (Hofacer) Hasse. He married Arlene Buffington February 10, 1940. She predeceased him November 27, 2000. He was a member of St. Charles United Methodist Church. Arnold worked for Transcon as a mechanic for 30 years. He enjoyed bowling and archery. He and his brother-in-law used to race stock cars at Zilwaukee.
Arnold is survived by four grandchildren, Cindy (Daniel) Ware, Joseph Hasse, David (Mary) Hasse and Bonnie Hasse; six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; two sisters, Cleo and Ethel (John); a brother, Ken (Betty); many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Arnold was predeceased by his son and daughter-in-law, David (Harriet) Hasse; three sisters, Ellen, Barb and Bina; four brothers, George, Mel, Martin and Alfred.
The funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at W. L. Case & Company, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Mark Davis will officiate with burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the chapel Monday from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from10:00 a.m. until time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to the family wishes.
