Carter, Richard L. of St. Charles, Michigan, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012 at home. Age 72 years. Rich was born December 11, 1939 in St. Charles to Romaine and Burdella (Clipper) Carter. He married Betty Dailey on August 14, 1992 and she survives him. Rich was a member of the St. Charles United Methodist Church and was retired from Community State Bank. He enjoyed watching sports, computers and his dogs.

Surviving are his wife, Betty and two sons, Tim and Bill Dailey; granddaughter, Percilla Dailey; sister, Nancy Parcher and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by a sister, Janice Carter and two brothers, Ronald and Donald Carter, Sr.

Memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Kendall Funeral Home, St. Charles. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service. Memorials may be made to St. Charles United Methodist Church. www.kendallfuneralhome.net
