Joann was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

Daughter of the late Walter and Anne (Zielinski) Galonska, Joann was born May 21, 1932 in Carrollton, Michigan. Joann was married to Daniel Koscielski on June 2, 1951. He predeceased her May 20, 2008. Joann was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in St. Helen, Michigan, CAA and the American Legion.

  Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Monday, January 23, 2012 at St. Mary’s of Michigan Hospital. Age 79 years. Daughter of the late Walter and Anna (Zielinski)  Galonska, Joann was born May 21, 1932 in Saginaw, Michigan. Joann was married to Daniel Koscielski on June 2, 1951. He predeceased her May 20, 2008. Joann was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in St. Helen, Michigan, CAA and the American Legion.
 Surviving are two daughters and four sons, Karen (Ricky) Bierd, AuGres; Dave Koscielski, Germfask; William (Dee) Koscielski, Manton; Gary Koscielski and special friend Gina Kowalski, Saginaw; Daniel (Val) Koscielski, Zeeland; Amy (Kevin) Schempp, Saginaw; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; one sister, Delores (Hank) Retting; many nieces and nephews. Joann was preceded in death by one sister and one brother. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. PK and Dr. Ernie Balcueva and staff.
 Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 737 N. St. Helen Rd.,  St. Helen,  Michigan. Rev. Fr. Joseph Muszkiewicz will officiate with burial in Fairview Cemetery, St. Helen, Michigan. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., Saginaw, where the family will be present on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at St. Helen Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass.  A Vigil Service will take 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family.
