Beyer, Adolph A. “Rudy”
Saginaw, Michigan
Passed away Wednesday morning January 25, 2012 at the Cartel Inn in Frankenlust Twp., Bay Co. after a brief illness at the age of 90 years. Rudy was born March 20, 1921 in Saginaw, MI to the late Rudolph and Clara (Schmidtkin) Beyer and has resided in this area all of his life. Rudy was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Freeland and was a lifelong farmer. He also enjoyed feeding the barn cats and birds, spending time with the grandkids, travelling and spending time at the cabin in Houghton Lake. When he was able he still enjoyed checking the progress of the crops he was tendering thru out the year. On January 18, 1964 Rudy married Elizabeth C. O’Toole; she predeceased him on July 3, 2010. Rudy is survived by his son; James (Tammy) Beyer of Saginaw and two grandchildren; Justin and Kenedee. The family of Rudy would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Cartel Inn and McLaren Hospice for all their care.
Funeral and committal services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday January 27, 2012 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Freeland. Rev. Spencer Biga will officiate with entombment to follow at Chapel Hill Mausoleum, Freeland. Friends may call at the Cunningham/Taylor Funeral Home, 310 E. Washington, Freeland on Thursday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday at church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Freeland, McLaren Hospice, Cartel Inn, Bay City or the donor’s favorite charity.
