Mueller, Karl Herman

        Life member of the P.G.A. and owner of Valley View Farm Golf Club passed away Sunday December 6, 2009.  Age 84 years.

         Beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather, brother and friend, Karl was born, March 9, 1925, in Saginaw to the late Emil and Anna (Spitz) Mueller.  He served as a Navy Radioman during WWII in the Pacific. He came home to marry Betty Jane Spatz, December 21, 1946, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Saginaw. Betty predeceased him on November 6, 2006.  Karl taught school at Millington and Bay City until he built Swan Valley Golf Course in 1962. He then went on to build Valley View Farm Golf Club in 1976 with his family. Karl was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and served as an elder and on several committees. 

      Surviving are his children, Robert (Karen) Mueller, Saginaw, MI; Barbara (Richard) McGaw, Freeland, MI; Joanna (Michael)Wardin; Patricia (Gary) Kricher, all of Hemlock, MI; Malissa (Robert)Krueger; Michael(Beth) Mueller, all of Saginaw, MI; twelve grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a brother, Fred Mueller; a sister Esther Anderson; several other relatives.

      The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2461 N. Raucholz  Rd.  Rev. Martin J. Hagenow will officiate with burial in Richland Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel 201 N. Miller Rd. from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday and then on Wednesday at the Church from 10:00a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
