Survived By: Surviving in addition to her husband Wally of 7 years are her 5 sons, David (Carol) Johnson of Freeland, Daniel Johnson and Anita Atkins of Saginaw, Mark (Sandra) Johnson of Au Gres, Brian (Jennifer) Johnson of Freeland, Kevin (Julie) Hughes of Hemlock; step-son, Jack Weisheim of Tawas; step-daughter, Julie Weisheim of Midland; grandchildren, Kelly, Christopher and Caitlin Johnson, Eric and Ryan Johnson, Ashleigh and Austin Johnson, Thomas and Melissa Johnson, Nicole and Kenny Hughes and a great grandchild, Ryleigh Johnson.

Sharon Joy (Lee) Weisheim, 74, of Midland, died, Thursday afternoon, February 2, 2012 at Woodland Hospice in Mt. Pleasant.  She was born on December 19, 1937 in Vassar, daughter of the late Grant O. and Opal L. (Dobson) Lee. 

 

Sharon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who truly enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her family.  You could see how much she loved her family by walking into her home and seeing all of the pictures of her family on the wall.  Sharon loved music, teaching piano and singing in church.  She was united in marriage to Walter Weisheim on May 12, 2005.  Wally gave Sharon the best 10 years of her life.  Sharon was a member of the Freeland United Methodist Church and was known as a very sweet and loveable person. 

 

Surviving in addition to her husband Wally of 7 years are her 5 sons, David (Carol) Johnson of Freeland, Daniel Johnson and Anita Atkins of Saginaw, Mark (Sandra) Johnson of Au Gres, Brian (Jennifer) Johnson of Freeland, Kevin (Julie) Hughes of Hemlock; step-son, Jack Weisheim of Tawas; step-daughter, Julie Weisheim of Midland; grandchildren, Kelly, Christopher and Caitlin Johnson, Eric and Ryan Johnson, Ashleigh and Austin Johnson, Thomas and Melissa Johnson, Nicole and Kenny Hughes and a great grandchild, Ryleigh Johnson.

 

In addition to her parents, a brother, Roger Lee preceded her in death.  Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2012 from the Freeland United Methodist Church.  Rev. Jim Rule will officiate with the committal of cremains to take place at a later date at Chapel Hill Mausoleum in Freeland.  Sharon’s family will receive friends at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler Street on Monday from 4-8 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Freeland United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or Woodland Hospice in Mt. Pleasant.
