Morris, Rita
Frankenmuth, MI formerly of Saginaw
Went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 4, 2012 after a 2 year battle with cancer, age 61 years. Rita Nosek was born on June 20, 1950 in Saginaw. She was married to David Morris in December 1972; he survives her. Rita retired from K-Mart and was also employed by Satow Drugs for five years. Rita’s favorite pastimes included finding special treasures at rummage sales and auctions; trying her luck at the casino; and relaxing on vacations up north at the Hartford Fish and Game Society. She enjoyed the camaraderie and friendship she had with co-workers and the customers she served at Satow Drugs. She especially cherished spending time with her friends, children, and four grandsons.
Surviving besides her husband, David Morris, are two sons, Paul (Laura) Morris, Gabe Morris; grandsons, Jack, Zachary, Ryan, and Kendall; sister, Renee King; nieces, Dawn Carter, Lisa Seller, and Nicole King; nephew, Ben Hoffman; mother-in-law, Rosemary Morris; and special friends Debbie, Jan, Ruby and Linda.
Rita was predeceased by parents Thomas and Thelma Nosek and sister, Diana Hoffman; father-in-law, Paul Morris.
Memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at the Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin Street. Chaplain Doug Bassett will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Rita’s family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday, February 9, 2012 from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
