Melanie Kay Schmidt passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday February 5, 2012 age 36 years.  She was born December 13, 1975 in Bay City.  Melanie enjoyed the outdoors, riding her bike, exercising and loved being around animals.

 Surviving is her mother; Patricia (Schlitt) Foerster, her son; Tyler, two sisters and two brothers; Carrie (Tim) Brown, Amy (Doug) Szczepanski, Raymond Schmidt Jr., Jonathon (Edith) Schmidt, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her father; Raymond Schmidt and a sister; Wendy Patterson.

 Cremation has taken place.  No visitation or services will be at Squires Funeral Home.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider family wishes.
