Survived By: his sisters, Ruth Damm of Pigeon and Carol (Raymond) Ruszala of Midland; brother, Leon Kretzschmer of Caseville; brother-in-law, Eldon Dietzel of Owendale; sister-in-law, Gloria Kretzschmer of Caseville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, sisters, and in-laws, Joyce Dietzel, Janet Kretzschmer, Loren Kuebler, LeRoy and Jean Kretzschmer, Joyce Kretzschmer, Fritz Damm, and Dale and Lorraine Kretzschmer.
Affiliations: Harold attended Hayes School and Pigeon Rural Agricultural School. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Pigeon and the Caseville FOE 3690, and attended the Caseville Retirement Club. Harold was a resident at Country Bay Village and Country Gardens in Pigeon, where he moved in January, 2004.

   Harold W. Kretzschmer, 86 of Pigeon, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 at McLaren Bay Regional Hospital, Bay City.

   Born in McKinley Township on June 25, 1925, he was the son of Wesley and Pearl (Geiger) Kretzschmer of Pigeon. Harold attended Hayes School and Pigeon Rural Agricultural School. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Pigeon and the Caseville FOE 3690, and attended the Caseville Retirement Club. Harold was a resident at Country Bay Village and Country Gardens in Pigeon, where he moved in January, 2004. He farmed throughout his lifetime.

   Harold is survived by his sisters, Ruth Damm of Pigeon and Carol (Raymond) Ruszala of Midland; brother, Leon Kretzschmer of Caseville; brother-in-law, Eldon Dietzel of Owendale; sister-in-law, Gloria Kretzschmer of Caseville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, sisters, and in-laws,  Joyce Dietzel, Janet Kretzschmer, Loren Kuebler, LeRoy and Jean Kretzschmer, Joyce Kretzschmer, Fritz Damm, and Dale and Lorraine Kretzschmer.

   The Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Salem United Methodist Church, Pigeon, with Rev. Gloria Haynes, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Grandlawn Cemetery.

  Memorials for Harold may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, the American Diabetes Association, or Scheurer Hospital.
