Cobb, Hazel (Armstrong)

Saginaw, Michigan

         Passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012, at St. Francis Home, at the age of 99 years and 11 months.

         Hazel M. Armstrong was born March 26, 1912, in Valley Grove, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Henry and Birdie (Taggart) Armstrong. She had been employed by W. T. Grant department store for many years. She enjoyed gardening, camping, and her dogs.

         She married Donald Cobb on October 4, 1941; he predeceased her November 10, 2002. She was also predeceased by her four sisters and three brothers, Viola Krape, Vera Johnson, Mary Armstrong, Isabelle Petrocelli, John Armstrong, Charles Armstrong and Harry Armstrong. Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Harry and Bonnie Krape of Hemlock, who cared for her for many years.

         Her family extends special thanks to all at St. Francis Home for their kindness and care.

         Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, where her family will receive friends from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, and then on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Rev.
