Stella was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Sandy Lambert, two sisters, Veronica and Julie Filek and two brothers, Sylvester (Joan) Filek and John Filek.

Daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Kania) Filek, Stella was born April 8, 1914 in Bay City, Michigan. She was married to Frank W. Biskup on November 14, 1975. He predeceased her March 17, 2002. Stella had been employed as an inspector for Eaton Corporation. She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church and past member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

 Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Shattuck Manor. Age 98 years. Daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Kania) Filek, Stella was born April 8, 1914 in Bay City, Michigan. She was married to Frank W. Biskup on November 14, 1975. He predeceased her March 17, 2002. Stella had been employed as an inspector for Eaton Corporation. She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church and past member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

 Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 12, 2012 at St. Helen Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Ronald Wagner will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty) where the family will be present on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Monday at St. Helen Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to The Special Olympics, St. Helen Catholic Church or St. Francis Home.
