Survived By: Surviving besides his wife Catherine are one son, Anthony and Michelle Mochen, Wyoming; a step-daughter, Jennifer and Joshua Wesolek, Saginaw; a step-son, Jason Blasch and Robyn Huiskens, Bay City; six grandchildren, Emma, Wyatt and Robert Mochen, Matthew, Daniel and Jacob Wesolek; his brother, James Mochen, Midland; several nieces , nephews and cousins. Joseph was preceded in death by his sister, Tammie Mochen.
Affiliations: The son of the late Joseph and Betty (Zietz) Mochen, Joseph was born April 12, 1951 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Catherine (Rankin) Blasch on September 6, 2008. She survives him. Joseph was employed by LaDouce Dental Lab and worked as a dental technician for 40 years. He was of the Catholic faith. Joseph volunteered as a Lieutenant for the Zilwaukee Fire Department and served for 25 years. He enjoyed turkey hunting, ice fishing, going to Alaska with the guys, riding his motorcycle, canning and especially being with his family and friends.

 Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the Cartwright Hospice Residence. Age 61 years. The son of the late Joseph and Betty (Zietz) Mochen, Joseph was born April 12, 1951 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Catherine (Rankin) Blasch on September 6, 2008. She survives him. Joseph was employed by LaDouce Dental Lab and worked as a dental technician for 40 years. He was of the Catholic faith. Joseph volunteered as a Lieutenant for the Zilwaukee Fire Department and served for 25 years.  Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Fr. T.J. Fleming will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. The Zilwaukee Fire Department will honor him with a walk thru at 6:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the wishes of the family.
