August "Buzz" Schrems

Survived By: Surviving besides his wife Mary Kaye, is his son, Jason Schrems and his wife Lizz of Reese; his granddaughter, Allie Schrems, and his sister, Frances Schrems, of Indiantown.
Affiliations: On March 15, 1975 he married the former Mary Kaye Klopf in Reese. She survives him. Buzz farmed most of his life in the Buena Vista Township area and also owned and operated, A&J. Services with his son Jason, a blasting, painting and assembly business in Buena Vista Township. He enjoyed hunting and his younger years, ice fishing.

 

August “Buzz” Schrems, 68, of Saginaw, died Saturday afternoon, November 11, 2012 at Covenant HealthCare, Harrison Campus, in Saginaw. He was born, September 1, 1944 in Saginaw, son of the late, August “Gust” and Frances Anna (Ruyts) Schrems. On March 15, 1975 he married the former Mary Kaye Klopf in Reese. She survives him. Buzz farmed most of his life in the Buena Vista Township area and also owned and operated, A&J. Services with his son Jason, a blasting, painting and assembly business in Buena Vista Township.  He enjoyed hunting and his younger years, ice fishing.

 

Surviving besides his wife Mary Kaye, is his son, Jason Schrems and his wife Lizz of Reese; his granddaughter, Allie Schrems, and his sister, Frances Schrems, of Indiantown.

 

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Chapel, 9940 Saginaw St. in Reese. Reverend Michael G. Stahl of the Trinity-St. James Lutheran Church in Munger will officiate with graveside committal services to follow in the Denmark Township Cemetery in Reese. Buzz’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until services. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN  38105 or Buzz’s family.
