Patrick William Sheridan, age 74, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at his home, following a brief illness.  He was born December 4, 1937, the son of the late Patrick J. and Margaret (Fessler) Sheridan.  Pat was a 1956 graduate of Fairgrove High School and received a degree in agriculture from Michigan State University.   Pat was united in marriage with the former Barbara Kay Bondarenko in August of 1957.  She preceded him in death in 1982.  Pat was a lifelong farmer and entrepreneur.  As a proud Irishman, he could be counted on for his sense of humor and a good story.  He enjoyed cycling, warm weather, and driving anything fast. Pat was a member of the Caro Moose Lodge and a former board member of the Michigan Bean Festival and Production Credit Association.  He also was a member of the Fairgrove Jaycee's in his younger years. He was especially proud of being named the Tuscola County Conservationist of the Year in 1989.

Pat is survived by three sons and their spouses, Patrick M. & Karen Sheridan of Fairgrove, Michael & Kelly Sheridan of Fairgrove, Shawn & Leslie Sheridan of Durango, Colorado; nine grandchildren, Lucas, Cody, Maureen, Samantha, Nolan, Bree, Victoria, Michael and Mitchell Sheridan; eight great-grandchildren, Drue, Garrett, Morgan, Amiah, Aleah, Ashlyn, Aidan and Ella.  In addition to his parents and wife, Pat was preceded in death by one son, Tom in 1994.

In keeping with Pat’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are being planned.  Instead, dear family and friends, hoist a mug of your favorite beverage and do an Irish Jig every St. Patrick’s Day as a tribute to Pat.  Interment will be at a later date at Brookside Cemetery in Fairgrove.   Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital or Heartland Hospice, c/o 205 West Sherman Street, Caro, MI 48723.  The family was assisted with these arrangements by the Ransford Collon Funeral Home of Caro.  Friends may share memories, thoughts and prayers online at www.RansfordCollon.com.
