Annabell A. (Ennes) Goodman, 83, of Au Gres, Mich., passed away on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012 with her family by her side at home.
Annabell was born in Au Gres on Dec. 2, 1928 to the late Calvin and Veva (Harris) Ennes. She married the late John A. Goodman on Dec. 11, 1948, and together they raised seven children.
Annabell was a homemaker and her family was her love and joy. She was a lifelong member of the Au Gres United Methodist Church where she served as secretary, United Methodist Women's Group member, Sunday school instructor, and many other activities. Annabell also had a passion for the Arenac County Historical Museum in Au Gres, where she served as director. She also served her community as secretary of the School Retirees; member of the Arenac County Election Board for 22 years and avid American Red Cross blood donor.
Annabell is survived by six children, Marsha (Guy) Lewis, of Hersey, Beverly (Larry) Block of Mt. Morris, Brent (Michelle) Goodman, of Au Gres, Brian (Judy) Goodman, of Tawas City, Joyce (Kurt) Humerickhouse, of Au Gres, and Bobbi Koeppe, of Oakdale; sister, Lucy Yarid, of Au Gres; brother, Mark Ennes, of Sterling Heights; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Annabell was preceded in death by her husband, John; son, Terry; and siblings, Myron, Otto, Lincoln, Louis, Helen and Alice.
Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 14 at C.L. Forshee & Sons Funeral Homes, Inc., Au Gres Chapel and from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15 at the Au Gres United Methodist Church. Services will follow at the church at 12 p.m. with Rev. Marcel Lamb officiating. Interment will be in Sims-Whitney Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Arenac County Historical Society-Au Gres.
