Survived By: Surviving beside her husband Carl are one son, Matthew and Cassie Monroe, Kennesaw, Georgia; one grandson, Evan Monroe; step-son, Andrew Peil and his friend , Karen Porath; Saginaw; a step-daughter, Amy and Frank Brooks, Dublin, Ireland; three step-grandchildren, Ewan Oisin Brooks, Finn Padrick Brooks, Joss Isabel Brooks, Dublin, Ireland; several nieces and nephews. Margie was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Gerald Meier.

Daughter of the late George and Alice (Terrian) Meier, Margie was born March 18, 1945 in Midland, Michigan. She was married to Carl Otto Peil on June 18, 1983. He survives her. Margie was employed at Dow Chemical as an executive secretary in Midland and Chicago retiring in 1983. She then became an administrative assistant for the Saginaw Education Association. In 1992, Margie opened her own store called Childhood Memories retiring in 1995. She was a member of the Audubon Society. Margie enjoyed bird watching and entertaining her family.

 Beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the Cartwright Hospice Residence. Age 67 years.  Daughter of the late George and Alice (Terrian) Meier, Margie was born March 18, 1945 in Midland, Michigan. She was married to Carl Otto Peil on June 18, 1983. He survives her.  Margie was employed at Dow Chemical as an executive secretary in Midland and Chicago retiring in 1983. Honoring   Margie’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place  1:00 p.m. Saturday,   November 17, 2012 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Fr. Richard Jozwiak will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
