He was preceded by a daughter, Dorothy Bamberg; grandson, Matthew Sulen; son-in-law, Frank Potts; daughter-in-law, Susan Wachowicz; four brothers, and five sisters

Passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Covenant Medical – Cooper in Saginaw. Age 96 years. Stanley was born June 29, 1916 in Saginaw to Walter and Cecila (Gorwelski) Wachowicz. He married Irene Szal on July 6, 1940. She preceded him on December 9, 2010. Stanley was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, and Union Local 467, retiring from General Motors in 1977. He loved to listen and dance to Polish music, family gatherings and telling stories.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Church, 708 Sanderson St., St. Charles. Fr. Arnberg and Fr. Sikorski will officiate with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at Kendall Funeral Home, St. Charles on Monday, November 19, 2012 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Prayer Service will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Cemetery Fund.
