Mr. Budnik, age 79 years, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 30, 2012.  He was born in Bay City on October 25, 1933 to the late Casimer and Anna (Wagner) Budnik.  Ted served in the United States Army as an M.P., stationed in Okinawa, Japan.  He worked as a meat cutter in his family business, Budnik’s Meat Market until 1970 and later at Ray’s Food Fair.  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener.


On November 26, 1959, he married the former Jeannette Rose Militello and she survives him.  Other survivors include his children:  Theodore James (Shelly) Budnik and Jeanette Ann (Alan) Senk, 6 grandchildren:  Nicole, Bree, Candice, Ali, Derrick and Tyler, and a brother, Paul Budnik.  He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. 


Funeral Liturgy will be on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rite of Committal following in FloralGardens Cemetery.  Military Rites will be under the direction of the Bay County Veterans Counci l. Friends may call at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-9 p.m. with a Vigil for the Deceased at 4 p.m.  He will lie in state at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until service time.  Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
