Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 1, 2012.  Daughter of the late Encio and Madonna (Desormeaux) Hill, Darlene was born on February 24, 1947 in Sault Ste. Marie, Canada.  Darlene married the love of her life, David E. Meyer on April 23, 1966.  He survives her.  Darlene loved volunteering at Covenant Cooper where she assisted families with loved ones coming out of surgery.  Each day, she made sure that she had her candy dish filled with the favorite candies for the staff to enjoy.  She spent her free time crocheting and was an animal lover.  Shopping was a favorite pass time along with her trips to Gaylord to meet up with her sister and have her mini vacations.  She was a woman of faith and attended Mass faithfully at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.

Surviving besides her husband David are their two daughters Laurie (Patrick) Grant of Ann Arbor and Tracy (Timothy) Horvath of Howell; her grandchildren Isabella, Addyson, Gabriella, and Olivia; a sister Gail (Donald) MacDonald of Ontario, Canada; and her special friends Gwen Ahlrich and Dee Harvey.
