Survived By: Surviving besides his wife Marie are three sons, one daughter and their spouses, Dale and Kathy Gough, Saginaw; Ann and Tom Perry, Dunedin, Florida; David and Robin Gough, Tampa, Florida; Joe Gough and his special friend, Julia Olgine, Saginaw; four grandchildren, Gregory Gough, Cory Perry, Marissa Gough and Stephanie Perry; many loving nieces, nephews and cousins who traveled long distances to visit. Howard was preceded in death by eight brothers and one sister, Francis, Marnell, Forest, Ezra, Rory, Vitte, Manuel Gough and Mary Rose Peebles.
Affiliations: The son of the late George and Blanche (Higden) Gough, Howard was born October 9, 1926 in LaCenter, Kentucky. He married Macon Marie Butts, his loving wife of 63 years, on April 17, 1949. She survives him. Howard served in the U.S. Army during WW II and was a member of American Legion Post #22. In his early years, Howard worked the family farm. He was a member of Carpenters Union #706 and had was employed in carpentry most of his life. Howard was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. He enjoyed pheasant hunting, fishing, helping neighbors and volunteering his time for others.

 Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the Cartwright Hospice Residence. Age 86 years. The son of the late George and Blanche (Higden) Gough, Howard was born October 9, 1926 in LaCenter, Kentucky. He married Macon Marie Butts, his loving wife of 63 years, on April 17, 1949. She survives him. Howard served in the U.S. Army during WW II and was a member of American Legion Post #22. In his early years, Howard worked the family farm. He was a member of Carpenters Union #706 and had was employed in carpentry most of his life. Howard was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.  Howard’s family extends their gratitude and appreciation to Covenant Health Care and the Cartwright Hospice Residence for the loving and understanding care they provided.

 Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 10, 2012 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. John R. Johnson will officiate. Interment will take place 2:30 p.m. Monday at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens where military honors will be presented by American Legion Post #22. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Sunday from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. and at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Family and friends will pray the Rosary 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Cartwright Hospice Residence or Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
