Robert McGee passed away Friday, December 7, 2012 at Tendercare-Clare. Age 82 years. He was born February 18, 1930 in Greenwood, Mississippi to Robert and Alice McGee.

Robert united with Beatrice McGee in 1948 in Saginaw, Michigan, she preceded him in death, to this union five children were born. He later moved to Chicago, Illinois where he married Leana McKinley who also preceded him in death, to this union five children were born. He retired from Coca-Cola Bottling company of Chicago, Illinois in 1991 after 35 years of service. He was a member of Greater Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor JP White where he served on the Deacon Board for many years.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Robert (May) McGee III, Lansing, Michigan, Jessie (Bertha) McGee, Annie (Charles) McKinley, Curtis (Anita) McGee, Tasha McGee, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Brenda Dale, Ricky (Felicia) McGee, Chicago, Illinois, Helen McKinley, California; three sisters, Mattie Fuller, Oakland, California, Gertie (Clarence) Johnson, Southern, Mississippi, Willie Mae McNeal, Chicago, Illinois; three brothers, James McGee, Otis (Tina) McGee, Oakland, California, George (Helen) McGee, South Haven, Mississippi; three sisters-in-law, Leola Griffen, Florence Jones, Jewel Blackmon, Saginaw, Michigan; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his wives, Beatrice McGee, Leana McGee; son, David Moore; grandson, Ernie Griffen Jr.; parents, Robert and Alice McGee; two brothers, Jasper McGee, Nora McGee; one sister, Bettie Smith; sisters-in-law, Martha McGee, Leona Daniels, Lela Blackmon; brothers-in-law, Charlie McKinley, Sylvester McKinley and Eddie McKinley.
