Mrs. Summers 86, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister passed away Wednesday December 12,2012 following a lingering illness.  She was born in Pinconning to the late Otto &Lena (Neiman) Fick. She married the late Merlin Summers on November 7, 1947.  He predeceased her in 2006.  Berneda was a member of Kawkawlin Community Church.

She is survived by 3 sons, Randall Summers of Kawkawlin, Ronald (Fawn) Summers of Belleville and Richard (Dinica ) Summers of Saginaw; 5 granddaughters, 4 step-grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, one brother Clarence Fick of Midland.  Berneda was predeceased by her brothers and sisters Mable Kennedy,Erna Stanford, Norman Fick, Elsie Kelley, Lawrence Fick, Lillian Robertson, Arnold Fick, Elmer Fick, Otto Fick Jr,Leona Fick, and Walter Fick. 

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday December 15, 2012 at 11am from Rivertown Funeral Chapel with Pastor David Dunn presiding with burial in Floral Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation will at  Rivertown Funeral Chapel  on Friday from 4pm to 7pm.  Also on Saturday from 10am till time of service
