Affiliations: . The son of the late Lyle and Dena (Story) Evans, Jerry was born February 17, 1933 in Chapin Township, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was previously married to Judith (Fogle) Szymanowski. Jerry married Margaret (Peg) Hall on October 31, 1992. She survives him. Jerry was employed at Saginaw Steering Gear for 39 years until his retirement in 1991. He was a founding member and past President of the Saginaw Valley Old Car Club. Jerry loved spending time with family, traveling and antique cars, especially his 1937 Packard.

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Covenant Healthcare Harrison. Age 79 years. The son of the late Lyle and Dena (Story) Evans, Jerry was born February 17, 1933 in Chapin Township, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 20, 2012 at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, (King & Portsmouth Roads), in Bridgeport. Pastor Rachel Laughlin will officiate. Entombment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Mausoleum. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church on Thursday 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
