Dorothy I. Dowen of Corunna, age 82, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from MediLodge of Montrose.  Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 21, 2012 at Rossell Funeral Home, Pastor Doug Klein will officiate.  Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, New Lothrop.  Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. until time of the service Friday at the funeral home.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Colonial Hills Baptist Church.

Dorothy was born in Pinconning, MI on February 7, 1930, the daughter of Cyrus and Ruth (Peterson) Gail.  She married Robert E. Dowen on November 30, 1956 in Pinconning.  She was a homemaker, a member of First Baptist Church of Flushing, and also attended Colonial Hills Baptist Church.

Dorothy is survived by: her husband, Robert; four children, Jackie and husband Robert Daniel, Patricia and husband Steven Schlicht, Dale Dowen, Garry and wife Jul Dowen; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia DeLano; nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and a son, David.
