Eleanor Ann (Clark) Vought, 80, of Coleman, died Saturday December 29, 2012 at her home.  She was born May 2, 1932 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Harry B. & Marion (Flynn) Clark.  She married Stanley G. Vought July 5, 1952.  Eleanor retired in 1987 from Fuelgas Co. of Clare, where she worked for 20 years.  She was active in getting the Coleman Library started and sat on the board for 20 years.  Eleanor enjoyed writing poetry.  She was a stringer for the Midland Daily News and the Coleman Tribune.  Eleanor was active in the Coleman Senior Center.  She loved to knit and crochet and made many mittens & Afghans for those in need.  She was a member of #167 IOOF Rebekah of MI.  She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

 

Survivors include her husband Stanley of Coleman, daughters: Karen & Jerry Allen of Clare, Donna Vought of Lake, Barbara & Robert Merchand of Hessel, and a grandson Wiley Richard Scheal.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry B. & Marion (Flynn) Clark, brothers: Harry B., Joseph M., Richard D. Clark, all of Philadelphia, PA, 2 sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

 

Cremation has taken place.  There will be no visitation or services.  Friends who wish may direct memorials to the Coleman Area Library, the Coleman Senior Center, or the Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund.  O'Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc.  assisted the family with arrangements.
