Charles was preceded in death by a son Joseph, and by three brothers and one sister.

Passed away peacefully on Saturday February 6, 2010.  Age 93 years. Charles Allen Blohm was born May 5, 1916 in Saginaw to Edmund and Alice (Kent) Blohm.  He married Josephine Gorney on April 28, 1948.  She survives him.  Mr. Blohm served his country in the U.S. Army during World War Two in North Africa and Italy.  He worked for the Saginaw Transmission Plant (Delphi) for 45 years, retiring in 1981.  He was an excellent bowler, and loved to garden.  He enjoyed baseball, especially the Tigers, the Cubs and the Braves. Surviving besides his wife he leaves one daughter, three sons and their families; Betty (Randy) Paquette, Thomas (Roxanne) Blohm, Charles (Deborah) Blohm, Gary (Lori) Blohm, nine grandchilden, three great grandchildren, and many other loving family members and friends. Charles was preceded in death by a son Joseph, and by three brothers and one sister.

Funeral service will take place 11AM Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home, 1550 S. Midland Rd (South M-47).  Rev. William W. Omansiek will officiate with entombment to follow at Oakwood Mausoleum.  Military honors under the auspices of American Legion Post 439 will be observed at the mausoleum.  Friends and family will gather for visiting at the funeral home on Tuesday Feb. 9th from 1pm to 8PM. Memorial offerings are suggested to Cartwright Care Center, or the Saginaw County Commision on Aging Meals on Wheels program.
