Skornia, Jeanette E. (Picture) Bay City, Michigan Jeanette Skornia our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Sunday February 7, 2010 surrounded by her family age 86 years. Daughter of the late John & Stella (Graczyk) Wolff she was born November 16, 1923 in Bay City. She married Henry T. Skornia May 1, 1943 in St. Hyacinth Church. Jeanette and Henry will always be remembered for their “sloppy joes” they made for the parish festival. He predeceased her February 11, 1998. Jeanette worked at Prestolite and at St. Laurent Brothers as a candy maker for many years before retiring. She was a member of St. Hyacinth Church and the Rosary Society. She was predeceased by two brothers; John (Fern) Wolff, Eugene (Romaine) Wolff, brothers and sisters in-law; Mary Wolff, Albin (Florence) Skornia, Edwin Skornia and Rev. Fr. Leo Skornia and Jack Horner. The family of Jeanette would like to thank the staff at Caretel Inns for their dedicated and loving care given to Jeanette and her family. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday February 10, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Hyacinth Church. Rev. Fr. Richard Jozwiak will officiate with private burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1 – 9 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday after 9:00 a.m. There will be a rosary service for Jeanette at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.
