Lottie B. Foess

Died Monday, January 14, 2013 at the Lutheran Home of Frankenmuth. Lottie Bertha Galsterer was born September 15, 1915, daughter of Carl and Bertha (Leidel) Galsterer. She was baptized at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church on September 30, 1915 and confirmed March 24, 1929. She was a 1934 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. Lottie was married to Waldemar M. Foess on May 1, 1938. Together they celebrated 60 years of marriage before his death on September 18, 1998. HeHeThey were blessed with two sons, two daughters, and 11 grandchildren: Floyd and Lois Foess and family, Jennifer and Kalen; Marie and William Specht and family, Sharilyn, Paul and Craig; John and Mary Foess and family, Melody, Timothy, Carol and Crystal; and Marilyn and Glen Nickodemus and family, Michelle and Denise; also 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister-in-law Edna Galsterer and brother-in-law Wilfred Schultz. Her brother John Galsterer and sister Erna Keinath Schultz predeceased her.
Since her marriage in 1938, Lottie has been a faithful member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Richville, where the funeral service will take place on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Rob Gadeken and Rev. Wesley Gillaspie will officiate with burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Lottie’s family will receive visitors at the Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St., on Wednesday, January 16, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
