Survived By: Don is survived by his loving wife of fifty-three years, Betty Price of Caro; two children and their spouses, (Sheryl) Genevieve & Michael Griffin of New York, New York and Patrick & Kimberly Price of Caro; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Michael J., Emma and Margaret Griffin all of New York City, Kira & Joe Turner of Caro, Ben Price living in Georgia, David & Liz Groosbeck of Caro, Jarrett Price of Caro; two great-grandchildren, Brexten Groosbeck and Taylen Joseph Turner born on Monday, January 14, 2013 and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving are close friends, Francis Silvernail, Bill Dillon, brother-in-law, Jerry (Tiny) Cottrell, Frances Wilson, and Margaret (Roy) McAlpine. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his in-laws, Jerome and Margurite Cottrell-Simerson, one brother-in-law, Larry Wilson and one sister-in-law, Sandra Jacot.

Donald Ralph Price of Caro, age 76, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Villages Regional Hospital in Lady Lake, Florida.  Don was born September 22, 1936 in Hazel Park, Michigan, the son of the late Ralph and Aileen (Seeley) Price.  Don and his family moved back to their Ellington Township family farm when Don was about eight years of age.  He graduated with the Caro High School class of 1954.  Shortly thereafter, he joined the U.S. Navy for two years, completing his basic training at Great Lakes Naval Base and was stationed at Corpus Christi, Texas.    Don was united in marriage with the former Betty Marie Cottrell on October 29, 1959.  Don was employed by the State of Michigan for thirty-six years, the first ten years at the Caro Regional Center and later with the Michigan Liquor Commission in Caro, retiring in 1993.  During his time of employment with the state, he continued farming the family farm as well.   Don was a member of the Caro Mt. Moriah Lodge #226 F&AM.  During his free time, Don enjoyed spending time traveling with Betty, and the last six years wintering in Florida.  He loved and enjoyed being with family, working around the family farm, watching sports and deer hunting.

In respect of his wishes, Don has been cremated.  A Memorial Service to honor his life will be held at a later date.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to Mt.
