Mr. Metevia 62 passed away Tuesday January 15, 2013at McLaren –Bay Region following a brief illness. He was born in Bay City on May 30, 1950 to the late Rene & Gladys (Rivard) Metevia.  Ted was a veteran of the Army serving for 2 deployments to Viet Nam. He was a member of the St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Essexville, Kawkawlin VFW Post, Bay City Eagles and the Tawas Moose Lodge.  He married the former Patricia BeauJean on February 29, 1996 in Essexville, she survives him. Also surviving are step children Tammy & Bob Blehm and Marcy & Bill Jacobs; 3 grand children Heidi Miller, David Blehm and Matthew Blehm; 3 great grand children Calba Blehm, Julian Miller and Oliver Miller; sister in laws Debbie Wordorowski and Margaret Turner; step father John & Joan Halamar; Step sisters Tina Flook, Cindy Kiczenski, Elaine & Mark Keith and Katherine & Dan Dowd and daughter DeNae Dowd; Step brother David Kiczenski and Allan Kiczenski. He was predeceased by his mother Gladys Metevia and a brother Niel Metevia.  Funeral Services will be held Friday January 18, 2013 at 11 am from St. Luke’s United Methodist, Essexville, MI with Rev. Eric Stone presiding with burial in Floral Gardens Cemetery with military Honors under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Council. Friends may call at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home on Thursday from 1 to 8 pm. On Friday Mr. Metevia will lie in state at church from 10 am until time of services.
