Mary E. Garrett

Chesaning, Michigan

Passed away on Friday January 18, 2013 at the Chesaning Nursing Care Center.  Age, 94 years. She was born on August 7, 1918 in Chesaning  to the late Henry and Antoinette (Berkorittick) Singer.

She Married  James Garrett on  March 22, 1968 and he preceded her in death March 9, 1995.                                                                                        

Mary served 17 years in office at Peet Packing.  She enjoyed reading daily prayer books, playing cards, baking, going to the Casino and attending her Grandchildren’s sporting events.

Surviving are her Children; Donald Adams of Chesaning, William (Maryann) Adams of Maple Grove Township and Richard (Kathy) Adams of Saginaw; ten Grand Children, eighteen Great Grand Children and one Great Great Grand Son and a brother –in-law, Russell Hudson. She was preceded in death by her, her husband, parents, brother, John (Mildred) Singer, three sisters; Tillie( Jack)  Fredenburg, Illa Hudson and Louise (Bob)  Cody.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 21, 2013 at 11:00 am at Walker-Martin Funeral Home, Chesaning. Rev. Norman Beckwith will officiate with burial in wildwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Walker-martin funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm.  Memorials are suggested to Union Court Assisted living or Chesaning Nursing Care Activity funds. www.wmartinfuneralhome.com
