Survived By: He will be missed by his wife, Esther; children, Thomas (Wanda) Watson, and Sally (Greg) Schmidt, all of Midland; sisters and brothers, Louise Small of Douglas, Margaret Kennelly of St. Charles, Daniel (Inese) Watson of Rockford, Olga Crotty of Vallejo, California, and James (Nancy) Watson of Westport, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Jessica (Daniel) Riley of Traverse City, Nicholas (Stephanie) Watson of Yuma, Arizona, and Michael Watson of Midland; great grandchildren, Caden Hines, and Liam Riley, both of Traverse City. He was preceded in death by his brother, George Watson.
Affiliations: He honorably served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. On October, 7, 1950 he married Esther Braeutigam in Saginaw. Frank work for General Motors, retiring in 1991 after 39 years of service. He was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church.

Frank James Watson, 83, of Midland, while surrounded by the love of his family, died Friday afternoon, January 18, 2013 at Nottingham Place.  He was born September 10, 1929 in AlbeeTownship, son of the late George Hamilton and Olga (Block) Watson.  He honorably served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. On October, 7, 1950 he married Esther Braeutigam in Saginaw.  Frank worked for General Motors, retiring in 1991 after 39 ½ years of service.  He was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church.

Memorial services will take place at 11:30 am, January 26, 2013 from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Chapel, 1200 West Wheeler Street in Midland, with Rev. Barbara Bender officiating.  Private family graveside burial rites will take place at RoselawnMemorialGardensCemetery in Saginaw. 

 

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Senior Services, Juvenile Diabetes, or St. Timothy Lutheran Church.
