Survived By: Surviving family include his children; Cindy (Bob) Mead, Tom (Jill) Lynch and Annie (Steve) Schultz; grandchildren; Robbie Mead (Amanda Light), Kenny Mead (Sarah DeWyse), Katie (Adam) Bauer, Jenna Lynch (Kevin Bauer), Sarah Lynch, Samantha Schultz (Jason Beaudin) and Max Schultz. Also surviving are his brothers & sisters; Rose (Ernie) Spyhalski, JoAnn (Al) Poirier, Nancy Rase, Art (Diane) Lynch, Margaret (Larry) Tuttle, Wayne (Sue) Lynch and many nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law.
Affiliations: . He was born on August 4, 1938 in Munger the son of the late Thomas and Agnes (Trombley) Lynch. On April 27, 1957 he married Jacqueline Green and she preceded him in death on February 7, 2010. Tom retired from General Motors Steering Gear in 1999 with 37 years of service. He was a lifelong resident of Munger, where he coached the girls' softball team. Tom enjoyed his trips to the casino and up to the Ranch. He was an avid Tigers fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time in his garden. He was dedicated to his family and loved seeing his grandchildren; he will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Thomas James Lynch, age 74 years, loving father, grandfather and brother passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw.   He was born on August 4, 1938 in Munger the son of the late Thomas and Agnes (Trombley) Lynch.  On April 27, 1957 he married Jacqueline Green and she preceded him in death on February 7, 2010.  Tom retired from General Motors – Steering Gear in 1999 with 37 years of service.  He was a lifelong resident of Munger, where he coached the girls’ softball team. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at St. Norbert Catholic Church.  Rev. Fr. Joseph Schabel presiding with burial to follow at Floral Gardens Cemetery.  The family will greet friends on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tom will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass.  Those desiring may make contributions to the Family’s Wishes.

 

The family would like to thank the staff at Fresenius Medical Care in Essexville and the doctors and staff at Covenant – Cooper in Saginaw for the excellent and compassionate care they gave Tom and his family.
