Beloved husband, father, son, grandfather, brother and uncle passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 22, 2013.  Age 44 years.  Son of Michael C. and Patricia Diane (Stephens) Speer, David was born December 11, 1968 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.  He graduated Eisenhower High School in 1987.  He was married to Rebecca “Becky” Speer and she survives him. He enjoyed Nascar, Harley Davidson motorcycles and working on his cars. Most importantly, his time with his family especially his daughters, step-sons, nieces, nephews and cousins were some of the most cherished times of his life.     

Besides his wife Becky, he is survived by parents Michael and Diane Speer of Saginaw; his 2 daughters Skylynn Garchow and Paige Speer of Saginaw; 3 step-sons Richard, Kyle and Trevor Jacklin of Saginaw; a granddaughter Melony Martin; his sister Kathleen (Luis) Sanchez of Saginaw and his brother Paul Speer of Scottsdale, Arizona; his special friends Scott and Julie Garcia; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins and his Immanuel Bible Church family and many dear friends.  David was preceded in death by his step-son Stormn Garchow and a niece Melissa Goodrich.     

Funeral Services will take place 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty).  Dr. Mark Hazen will officiate.  Honoring David’s wishes a cremation will follow.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday where the family will be present from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the wishes of the family.
