Dennis D. Ide (Rabbit), age 69, a lifelong resident of Fostoria, MI passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Tendercare of Frankenmuth with his loving family by his side.

Funeral service will be 11 AM Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the Avram Funeral Home in Mayville, MI with Pastor Paul Armstrong officiating.

The family will receive visitors 2 - 8 PM Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Avram Funeral Home and 10AM until time of the service Wednesday.

Internment will take place at Watertown Township Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund.

Dennis was born March 24, 1943 in Flint, MI, the son of Ivan and Thelma (Manwell) Ide. He graduated from Mayville High School Class of 1961. Dennis was a charter member and one of the original seven of the Tribesmen Motorcycle Club in Fostoria, MI. He was also a member of the Mayville Eagles Aeries #4099. Dennis drove truck all of his life, and owned his own trucking company Dennis Ide Trucking from 1970-1985. He drove truck for Dewitt Excavating for 19 years with his brother Cecil and when Dewitt Excavating relocated he drove for Thorman Sand and Gravel, then retired from Tri-City Aggregate in 1991. Dennis loved spending time with family and friends, and also enjoyed driving truck, Nascar, Dale Earnhardt Sr., and motorcycles.

Dennis is survived by one sister; Bonnie (Bill) Adamic who was more like a brother than a brother in-law of Fostoria, MI, one brother; Cecil (Delba) Ide of Oak Hill, FL, one nephew Darren (Patsy) Ide of Kingston, MI, one niece; Aven (Roger) Sutton of Fostoria MI, one great niece; Britney Sutton of Fostoria, MI, one great nephew; Brandon Sutton of Fostoria, MI, special friends; Linda Johnson of Fostoria MI, Jim Hanna of North Branch, MI, and Dr. Peter C. Moody M.D. a friend as well as his doctor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Gary Dean in 1942, special friends Ted Colosky and Jim Crane.
