Mr. Frazier Lee Townsend Sr. passed away Monday, January 21, 2013 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 93 years. He was born December 20, 1919 in Union Springs, Alabama to Governor and Alonia Townsend.

Frazier lived in Union Springs, Alabama until 2002. He relocated to Saginaw, Michigan to live with his grand-daughter. While in Union Springs, he worked for the Wayne Farms Poultry Plant until he retired. He was a member of Old Sardis Baptist Church. Frazier loved farming, hunting and fishing. He was a great dad to all of his children. His oldest grand-daughter Shirley was always at the top of his list. His presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Willie C. Weems, Frazier Townsend Jr., Curtis, Willie James, Milton, Sammie, Stanley Jerome and Richard Townsend, Susie Mae, Brenda, Annie Pearl, Margaret and Bobby; several grandchildren, Sanford, Calvin, Kelvin, Yanicka, Frazier B., Torrey, Kaela, Shirley, Terry, Anthony, Eric, Marcus, Edwin, Sharita, Aberdeen, Yaemika, Jamila, Tywone, Demus, Lakisha, Catherine, LaQuinta, Kenyetta, Kenisha, Jacquetta, Jurquaze, Demetri, Chrismoses, Sammie Jr., DeMarion, Marquise, Camila, Terrence, Kentavia, Wycovia, Jalisa, Timeka, Keidre’Ana, Stanley, Marquaviana, Richard, Christopher, Theoris; too many great-grandchildren to name; several nieces and nephews; cousins, M.C. Baskin, Mollie Babers, Ocie Lee Tellis; two sisters-in-law, Ruby Weems and Gladys Stafford; one brother-in-law, Johnnie Weems; many other relatives and friends.

Frazier was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Townsend, one daughter, Annie, three sisters, Governor, Callie and Susie, one brother, Stanley, one grandson.
