Danny Blackemer a lifetime Millington resident passed away suddenly Wednesday morning January 30, 2013, Danny was 42.

Born on Septrember 20, 1970 in Flint, Michigan Danny was the son of Richard T. (Dick) & Nolavay (Bushaw) Blackmer. Danny was a 1996 graduate of Highland Pines, Danny loved going out on the boat, and attending sporting events cheering on the Millington Cardinal teams.  He loved being around the farm, and one of his  high lights in life  was when he got to meet Detroit Tiger Manager the late Sparky Anderson,  professional athletes Allen Trammel, and Billy Simms.

Danny leaves to cherish his many memories, his parents Dick & Nolavay, three sisters and a brother in-law, Cindie & Tim McCoulloch, Lorie Blackmer, and Kelly Blackmer, nieces and nephews; Taylor, Jacob, Andrew, Madison, Ainsley, Christian, and isabelle, also several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family. Special friends, Earl Hergenreder, Eldon & Diane Prosch, and his special care givers BK- Bolf, Mindy & Johnny, and the many other caregivers through the many years while at the Fields of Dreams Assisted Living.

The family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington on Friday from 1:00 to 8:00 pm and also Saturday at the Millington United Methodist Church where Danny will lie in state Saturday from 10:00 am until the services begin. Funeral services for Danny will begin at 11:00 am Saturday February 2, 2013 and will be held at the church. Pastor Pete Crawford will deliver the funeral message and the closing prayers at the cemetery. The burial will follow at the Millington Twp. Cemetery.
