Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and bowling.

JAMES G. GRANTNER of Hale, formerly of Flint, passed away January 30, 2013 at 75 years of age.

 

He is survived by his siblings, Dolores (Hugh) Vanitvelt, Ronald (Laura) Grantner and Gary (Mary) Grantner.  Also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Barbara (nee Kupres) Grantner.

 

Mr. Grantner retired from AC/Delphi in Flint.  He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, a Chaplain with the Fraternal Order of Eagles for over 12 years and a member of the Croatian Slovene Home Corporation in Flint.  Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and bowling.

 

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, February 4, 2013 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3901 N. M-65 in Hale.  The family will receive friends at church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M.  Rev. Lawrence Boks officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions suggested to the Shelter of Flint, Inc., 902 E. Sixth Street, Flint, MI  48503.  Funeral arrangements handled by the Hale Chapel of the Buresh Funeral Home.  Interment at Esmond-Evergreen Cemetery.  Those wishing to express words of sympathy may do so at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com
