Deborah Jean Meyers
Deborah J. Meyers, 56 years old of Prescott passed peacefully on Monday, January 28th 2013. She was born in Pontiac, MI on September 11th, 1956 to Lonnie and Evalee Coburn. She graduated from Walled Lake Western High School, and continued her academic studies at Kirkland Community College. Deborah touched countless lives while working with the children as a Para-Pro at Whittemore-Prescott Area Schools for the past eighteen years.
Deborah is survived by her husband of 40 years and high school sweetheart, David A. Meyers; four children, Kurt (Kelly), Keith (Kathy), Katie (Brian) and Krista; seven grandchildren, Kennedy, Kiera, Kallen, Isabelle, Zachary, Reese and Addison. She was preceded in death by her father, Lonnie Coburn II.
Deborah had a passion for many things in life but as everyone knows cherished her husband, children and grandchildren the most. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to nearly all fifty states as well as abroad. She also enjoyed playing cards (Euchre with the adults & War with the grandkids), shopping, cooking, crocheting, working with stained glass, camping, snowmobiling and spending time with family & friends at their place on Lake Ogemaw.
Deborah collected all things oriental, Elvis Presley and many, many teapots of all shapes & sizes.
Deborah was also a member of the Skidway Lake Moose Lodge #440.
If there is one thing that can describe the essence of Deborah Meyers it would be the size of her heart.
