Obituary for James Pettingill of Alger, Michigan

James, age 55, passed away at home on Monday, February 4, 2013. He was born to Harold and Elvira (Gibbard) Pettingill on April 4, 1957 in Pontiac, Michigan. James worked as a general laborer in manufacturing.

He is survived by his parents; his children Taylor Pettingill of Au Gres, Gary Hutchinson and Nicole Clarke; two brothers Timothy (Grace) Pettingill of Lapeer and Harold Pettingill of Sterling and three sisters Valerie Hunter of Davison, Sheila Slavin of Alger and Shelley (Tom) Hunter of Alger.

The funeral service will take place on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 3:00 PM at the R. O. Savage Funeral Chapel in Standish, with Pastor Ron Lucas presiding. Family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until service time. A luncheon will be held at Faith Baptist Church in Standish after the funeral service.
